Sustainable Charlbury
Sustainable Charlbury is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that aims to inspire and empower the community to address climate change, starting at a local scale.
The group focuses on two main themes: Plastic Smart Charlbury, an interactive campaign to help residents reduce their plastic use, and Lower Energy Buildings, which supports residents and local businesses to assess and improve the energy efficiency of their homes and premises. They are also part of the Cosy Homes Oxfordshire pilot programme, helping to increase the roll-out of home retrofitting across the area.

Sustainable Charlbury works in partnership with Southill Community Energy, selecting community environmental projects for grant funding made possible by surplus income from the nearby Southill Solar farm.
Charlbury Town Council declared a climate emergency in 2020, and Sustainable Charlbury plays a vital role in uniting the community around a shared vision of a carbon-neutral town by 2040.
