Sustainable Blewbury

Helping Blewbury move to a low carbon way of life

Sustainable Blewbury is a community action group exploring how the village can adapt to low carbon living. Its work covers five themes:

• energy;
• travel and transport;
• food and farming;
• reduce, reuse and recycle;
• natural environment and heritage.

The Blewbury Energy Initiative aims to cut energy use in buildings and encourage renewable energy. It runs a regular thermal imaging project, and has carried out thermal imaging on over 200 homes in the village.

The group also promotes local food production and works to protect Blewbury’s streams, springs and heritage.

Sustainable Blewbury has formed a climate emergency group with Blewbury Parish Council, called Blewbury Climate Action.
