I chose to invest in the Low Carbon Hub because I wanted my money to be part of something really constructive, important, local and exciting! It’s lovely to be part of something like this.
Why invest?
This is your opportunity to set your money to work, accelerating the transition to an energy system that’s fossil fuel-free. We need your help to make it happen.

When you invest, you are:
- Helping to fund more renewable energy projects, protecting our environment from harmful fossil fuels.
- Taking practical action on climate change today.
- Supporting projects that tackle wider social and environmental issues, including fuel poverty.
Not only that, 100% of our project surplus is re-invested in local communities and driving even more action on climate change.
Please read the Share Offer Document and supporting documents (available below) before investing. Capital is at risk; no returns guaranteed.

It’s that combination of experience, knowledge, and idealism that makes the Low Carbon Hub so special.

Our progress so far: delivering real impact
For over a decade, the Low Carbon Hub has been turning investment into action – building renewable energy projects, supporting local communities, and proving that community energy works. We have:
- Built the UK’s largest community-owned solar park at Ray Valley Solar generating 20million KWh of clean electricity a year, enough to power over 6,000 homes.
- Installed rooftop solar panels on 32 schools and 5 businesses, saving them around £130k in energy bills each year, and reducing their carbon emissions.
- Reinvested over £1million of project surplus to support local communities.
- Given grants to community groups, funding projects from installing simple energy saving measures in people’s homes through to running large sustainability events.
- Pioneered energy reduction programmes for SMEs and households, helping people save energy, money and cut carbon emissions.
