Results of our 2022 annual survey

The results are in for our 2022 ‘How are we doing?’ survey and they show that people continue to trust in our expertise around local, renewable energy and low carbon. The main results continue to be positive, with scores continuing to be high and good feedback. We’re really pleased that our investor members, community groups, partners and collaborators continue to think highly of us as an organisation.

*Commitment = % of respondents who perceive Low Carbon Hub to be quite or highly committed to the creation of a low carbon, locally owned renewable energy system (97%). Trust = % of people who said they had quite high or high trust in Low Carbon Hub’s expertise around local, renewable energy and low carbon (97%). Knowledge = % of respondents who report that Low Carbon Hub has had a moderate or substantial impact on your knowledge (84%). Belief = % of respondents who report that Low Carbon Hub has made them more positive about the potential of community owned solutions to energy issues (78%). Action = % of people who have taken action on energy or environmental issues as a result of Low Carbon Hub (76%).

Participation in the survey dropped slightly from last year’s 183 to 180. However, this is the third highest number of respondents since the survey began in 2017.

Overall, our 2022 results maintained the same high level of people who both perceive Low Carbon Hub to be committed to the creation of a low carbon, locally owned renewable energy system and trust Low Carbon Hub’s expertise around local, renewable energy and low carbon.

As in previous years, results relating to the impact we then have in terms of helping other people increase their knowledge, belief in the potential of community-owned solutions and take action themselves score slightly lower. We’ll continue to reflect on how we can improve our services to help deliver community action on climate change.

As ever, the feedback and suggestions we received through the service proved particularly helpful in identifying areas in which we can do better, and ideas for future projects.

Keep up the good work
