Thank you for your interest in investing and becoming a member of Low Carbon Hub. We develop community-owned renewable energy projects, reinvest every pound of profit into our Impact Programme, and work with communities, businesses, and residents to include everyone in the clean energy transition.  

You’re invited to invest in our Community Energy Fund – making community energy projects happen, and paying you interest in return for your support.  

With over £10 million already invested by our growing community, we’ve built over 50 renewable projects across Oxfordshire, ranging from solar on school roofs to one of the UK’s largest community-owned solar parks. You can invest from as little as £100 and be part of what comes next.

Our latest project: Common Lot

We are really excited to be raising investment to help finance Common Lot: a new 7.4 MW solar park with 10 MWh of battery storage near Yarnton, Oxfordshire.  

With your investment, we plan to:  

✅ Generate an additional 7.9 GWh of clean electricity each year, enough to power around 3,000 homes and save 1,000 tonnes of carbon annually.  

✅ Generate an additional £6.3 million in community benefit funding.  

✅ Enhance biodiversity at the site.

Our progress so far: delivering real impact

For 15 years, the Low Carbon Hub has been turning investment into action – building renewable energy projects, supporting local communities, and proving that community energy works. We have:

• Built one of the UK’s largest community-owned solar parks at Ray Valley Solar generating 20 GWh of clean electricity a year, enough to power over 7,000 homes.  
• Installed rooftop solar panels on 32 schools and 5 businesses, saving them around £130k in energy bills each year, and reducing their carbon emissions.  
• Reinvested over £2 million of project surplus to support local communities and the energy transition. 
• Given grants to community groups, funding projects from installing simple energy saving measures in people’s homes through to running large sustainability events.  
• Pioneered energy reduction programmes for SMEs and households, helping people save energy, money and cut carbon emissions.

It’s a combination of experience, knowledge, and idealism that makes Low Carbon Hub so special.
