Low Carbon Hub sponsors the Oxford Climate Awards – nominate a climate hero
We’re proud to announce that Low Carbon Hub is sponsoring the 2026 Oxford Climate Awards, an initiative by Oxford City Council and the Oxford Mail celebrating the people and organisations across Oxfordshire who are taking action on climate change.
We’re sponsoring two categories: the Climate Action Champion Award and Sustainable Medium Business of the Year. Our CEO Barbara Hammond will be on stage at the awards ceremony to present the prizes.
Why we’re involved
For 15 years, Low Carbon Hub has been demonstrating that communities can take ownership of the energy transition and take action on climate change. Today we have 56 energy projects generating clean power across the county, almost 2,000 investors, and 50 community group members working to tackle climate change in their neighbourhoods.
We’ve never done our work alone though. We believe in the power of partnerships, collaboration and people who roll up their sleeves to get things done. That’s why we’re supporting the Oxford Climate Awards. They celebrate exactly what matters: people taking action on climate change. Whether that’s businesses changing how they operate, volunteers and campaigners working hard for their communities or innovators developing the solutions we need.
We need to celebrate our successes, learn from each other, and keep that energy going with events like the Oxford Climate Awards.
