Oxford Friends of the Earth

Oxford Friends of the Earth works to protect and improve our environment local and nationally. They are part of the Friends of the Earth global network working in 75 countries.

Here in Oxford and across the county they work on:

  • Climate action – push for stronger policies and promote clean energy solutions and actions to make Oxfordshire a genuinely ‘zero-carbon county’.
  • Air Pollution – work for tighter controls on pollution across the county and they have their own pollution monitors
  • Trees and nature – they want to see more space for nature, and to double tree cover across the Oxfordshire in the next 25 years.
  • Transport – Oxfordshire needs an integrated transport system that means that people don’t need cars for most journeys
