Oxford Friends of the Earth

Campaigning for a cleaner, healthier Oxfordshire

Oxford Friends of the Earth works to protect and improve the environment, locally and nationally. It’s part of the Friends of the Earth global network, which works in 75 countries.

In Oxford and across the county, the group focuses on:

• Climate action. Pushing for stronger policies and promoting clean energy, to make Oxfordshire a true zero-carbon county.
• Air pollution. Calling for tighter pollution controls across the county, backed by data from the group’s own monitors.
• Trees and nature. Making more space for nature and doubling tree cover across Oxfordshire in the next 25 years.
• Transport. Calling for an integrated transport system, so people don’t need a car for most journeys.
