Banbury community action group

Banbury CAG runs free local community projects on food, waste, transport and energy, with the aim of making Banbury a greener, more sustainable place to live.

They established the Bridge Street Community Garden – where local people can grow their own food and come together in a welcoming, sociable space. They also created the Browning Road Community Orchard, planting donated trees and hosting regular community events there.

They run thriving repair cafés and Give or Take swapping events, and have recently turned their attention to transport – forming the Banbury Active Transport Supporters Group (BATS) to champion active travel and clean air, including drawing up a local cycling and walking infrastructure plan.
