ACES extended for a third year

The Action on Carbon and Energy in Schools (ACES) programme has been extended for a third year and is now able to offer eligible County-maintained schools fully funded energy assessments and additional one-to-one support.

This builds on a successful two years where we have engaged with over 100 schools interested in improving their school’s energy performance including 60% of County-maintained schools.

In previous years we provided schools with free energy assessments, a thermal imaging service, one-to-one support and guidance and support to access funding, that have helped them become more energy efficient, and reduce their energy use. The changes they have already made are resulting in 48.9 tonnes of carbon savings a year.

For this third year, we are offering County-maintained schools:

All schools can access the online resources including a free School Energy Efficiency Checklist, videos, and how to guides.
