Sustainable Blewbury

Sustainable Blewbury is a community action group set up to explore ways the village can adapt to a low-carbon way of living. They focus their activities around five main themes:

Energy – The Blewbury Energy Initiative aims to reduce energy consumption in buildings and encourage renewable energy. They run a regular thermal imaging project and have carried out thermal imaging of over 200 homes in Blewbury.

Travel and transport

Food and farming – promoting local food production.

Reduce, reuse and recycle

Natural environment and heritage – protecting Blewbury’s history, including its local streams and springs.

Sustainable Blewbury has also formed a climate emergency group with Blewbury Parish Council called Blewbury Climate Action.
