We’ve hit our target early, but we want to go further!

We’re thrilled to share that the Community Energy Fund share offer surpassed its initial £500,000 target. Thank you to everyone who has invested. All funds will be used for a genuinely groundbreaking project: the first community-owned battery storage project.

But we’re not stopping there. The offer remains open for over-raising up to £1.2 million, and right now there’s a powerful reason to act: £60,000 in match funding is available, contributed by We Have the POWER and a second institutional funder. Every pound invested will be matched pound for pound until that pot is used up, doubling the community impact of your investment instantly.

Every additional pound raised means more of the UK’s first community-owned solar battery is in community hands, rather than funded by loans. The battery will recover 809 MWh of clean energy currently going to waste each year and generate over £1 million in additional community benefit funding over its lifetime.
