Make your home more energy efficient with the Warm Homes: Local Grant

Funding is now available via Oxfordshire County Council through the Warm Homes: Local Grant, with delivery expect to begin in July. It is designed to provide fully funded energy efficiency upgrades for homeowners and private tenants on a low household income and at risk of fuel poverty.

Eligibility

You may qualify for the funding if the following statements apply to you.

And either:

  • you have a total household annual income of £36,000 or less (before housing costs/bills).

Or:

  • you receive a means-tested benefit, subject to approval.

Landlords, private tenants and people living in a home they own can all apply.

Funding allows for up to £15,000 towards low carbon heating upgrades – such as switching from fossil fuel systems to a heat pump or high-efficiency electric storage heaters – plus a further £15,000 for other energy-efficiency improvements.

These include fabric upgrades (insulation and ventilation), and solar PV. Battery storage is not currently supported, though this may change later in the financial year if MCS accreditation routes are expanded.
