Powering up

Powering up means shifting to renewable energy generation and away from a reliance on fossil fuels.

In Oxfordshire, Low Carbon Hub is a central part of that shift, generating clean electricity through solar and hydro projects.

As of January 2020, we manage 44 renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 4.4 GWh of electricity per year – enough to save 1,244 tonnes of CO₂. In addition to this, we also support community energy projects, such as Sustainable Kirtlington’s village hall solar pv panels, offering expertise and grant funding.
