Invest in the latest round of the Community Energy Fund
We’re really excited to launch the latest round of investment for the Community Energy Fund – a share offer that will support the growth of community energy in Oxfordshire.
This offer has a target raise of £800,000 and a deadline of 7 March 2019. People can invest from £250 via the ethical investment platform, Ethex.
We launched the Community Energy Fund in 2018 and successfully raised over £780,000 in its first few months. This money has already been put to good use replacing project debt, thereby bringing energy projects into community ownership and funding the installation of solar PV at two schools.
With more investor support, we can:
- Fund more solar PV projects
- Lower energy bills for schools and organisations
- Keep money in the local economy through community ownership
- Tackle the global issue of climate change
In return, we’re offering our investors a target 5% interest rate (capped at 4% for the first four years). Plus, investors in the Fund start earning interest from day one and can be safe in the knowledge their money is being put to good use.
Full details including the Share Offer Document and supporting documentation can be found here.
It’s thanks to our supporters and investors we’ve been able to achieve so much – growing from a single solar installation in 2013 to a portfolio of 42 renewable energy projects with 36 hosts – and we’re excited to move into this next phase of activity.
